An Occupational Therapist will lead the Falls Prevention workshop to guide seniors on how to make their living spaces safer and hazard free. Another crucial component of our workshop is balance education. We offer practical sessions where seniors learn about the importance of balance, exercises to improve it, and how to cope with balance-related challenges in everyday life.
Seniors will learn about the uses of mobility aids in an interactive setting. We provide information on various aids, their correct usage, and how they can help maintain balance and prevent falls. Participants will also gain knowledge about resources available in our community such as community groups, meal programs and more. Overall, our workshop aims to empower seniors with the knowledge and skills to live safer and longer independently in their homes
