Aging is a natural part of life and brings with it both physical and mental changes. However, this doesn't mean these later years should be any less fulfilling or active. We are dedicated to empowering seniors to take control of their wellness journey.
The path to senior wellness can seem overwhelming with the changes that bodies undergo. That's where our Seniors in Motion program comes in. This program, offered at no cost, is designed to help navigate these challenges.
We offer a variety of services uniquely designed to assist seniors with all aspects of wellness. From pre/post-program assessments, regular exercise classes, and healthy living workshops on topics such as nutrition, pelvic health, arthritis management, drug interventions, reducing the risk of falls, and more, we ensure that you have access to the necessary tools and knowledge for your wellness journey.
Exercise is an essential part of senior wellness. Regularly scheduled exercise sessions not only help to prevent health issues such as obesity, heart disease, and arthritis but also boost mental health, cognitive function, and improve overall life quality. We offer exercise progressions and regressions which can be tailored to your comfort and capability level to keep everyone motivated and engaged. Notably, our program includes hydrotherapy classes and gentle chair yoga. It's important to note, participants must commit to the entire program as this is not a drop-in service like other exercise classes.
We firmly believe in the power of knowledge. Hence, we provide workshops on essential topics such as nutrition, pelvic health, and arthritic care. This empowers seniors to proactively maintain their health. Guidance on correctly managing medications is also offered through our pharmaceutical intervention workshop.
One common fear for seniors is the threat of falling. Our fall prevention workshop focuses on educating seniors about potential risks of falling, offering advice on home safety alterations, and instructing balance and strengthening exercises. These precautions significantly contribute to maintaining independence and confidence as you age.
Our comprehensive approach to senior health seeks to improve your independence, mobility, strength, and overall life quality. Register for our Seniors in Motion program today!
